Tax-Free Retirement
Is a Tax-Free Retirement Really Possible?
The answer to that question is, largely, yes. Obviously not everyone can get into a 0% tax bracket in retirement but, working with your tax professional, there is a surprisingly large amount of people who can. Even if one doesn't quite get to 0%, we believe there are certainly good reasons to shoot for it:
- Taxes are usually the single largest negative impact on your retirement lifestyle.
- Some professionals believe that the changing demographics will require increased taxation in the next 15 years in order to sustain the promises our government has made to future generations.1 If this possibility is not planned for, you could be choosing a reduced retirement lifestyle by default.
- Who wants to pay more in taxes than they are required to?
Let's examine these issues.
